Plows

Burke RoadTamer 2000 Plows

Similar to the rubber bushings found in all car and truck suspension systems, the Burke RoadTamer2000 Plow has rubber bushings installed at each of the five hinge points, connecting the plow moldboard to the plow table. There are also bushings installed on each end of the stiffners. Rubber bumpers on each side of the A-Frame, and on the end of the reversing cylinders means there is no metal to metal contact between moldboard and table, also between a-frame and table. The Burke RoadTamer2000 is a much quieter plow compared to the competition, with virtually no vibration, leading to less damage to your plows, trucks and much less fatigue and road noise on the operator. Throw our Burke Bushing Blades on the RoadTamer2000 and you will be shocked! Your operators will demand the Burke RoadTamer2000 loaded with Bushing Blades!

Available in 11 foot or 12 foot width, 42 inch or 48 inch height. Featuring the industry leading Dual-Trip design, a 10 gauge broke (not rolled) moldboard, 8 vertical ribs, 5 hinge points with patented 'rubber mount' table bushings, 38 degree turning angle (not the industry standard 35 degree), Cross-Over Relief Manifold, 4 Heavy Trip Moldboard Springs with option of adding 2 more, Rubber Cushioned Moldboard Trip Posts, Trip Edge with Heavy 7/8" thick Torsion Springs. 1/2" thick turn-table, 4" x 13" reversing cylinders with 2-inch nitrited rods cushioned with polyurethane donut at rod end, replaceable brass bushing at ear end, patented "Level Lift" design allows continuously level blade in any position, with a max height difference of 1-1/2" tip-to-tip at full turn. Tailgate Spreaders

Hi-Way® SA-9

The Hi-Way® SA-9 tailgate spreader is designed for winter deicing and year-round road maintenance. The auger conveys material to the left of the truck for centerline deicing and windrowing or to the right of the truck to berm roadsides and fill trenches with the material chute. Featuring a heavy-duty 7-gauge cover/back plate and a trough with 1/4" (6.44 mm) endplates, the SA-9 comes standard with a an 18" (46 cm) polyurethane spinner disc with six formed fins to protect the hydraulic motor from material impact and provides a superior spread pattern.

Hi-Way® SA-6C

The Hi-Way® SA-6C tailgate spreader features a 6” (15.2cm) bi-directional auger for centerline deicing or windrowing. The bi-directional flighting ensures material feeds evenly from both sides of the dump body to the left-hand discharge area. An easy-open hinged bottom panel allows for one-person trough clean out and quick-disconnect hardware enables easy removal or installation.

The SA-6C comes standard with a heavy-duty 7-guage cover/back plate and trough with 1" endplates, an 18" polyurethane spinner disc with six fines and a direct drive hydraulic motor. Optional equipment includes in-cab control for auger and spinner plus master on/off controls, a 5:1 worm gear drive, non-painted corrosion resistant 304 stainless steel construction, far left discharge, 20" offset in from left discharge, and center drop discharge.

Optional features of the TGC-18 include a spinner assembly for the spreading deicing materials, a 2 foot wide gravel chute for edge rut work and non-high-temp belt-over-chain in lieu of high-temp conveyor.

V-Box Spreaders

Hi-Way® Xzalt®

Not your typical salt and sand spreader, the Hi-Way® Xzalt® delivers a 70:30 ratio of dry/liquid material, reducing salt usage while accelerating ice melt. The mixed material delivered produces less material bounce and improves adhesion to the road, virtually eliminating over-application on roadside shoulders.

Featuring a directional spinner, the Xzalt broadcasts mixed material on one, two, or three lanes to reduce time, fuel and miles traveled. The FORCE® America, Inc. SSC6100 Spreader Control has been engineered to work with the Xzalt, offering unique, easy-to-use features, such as a pre-defined setting that temporarily widens the swath width to cover a turn lane or intersection, or be programmed to reduce from multiple lanes to a single lane in the event of oncoming traffic.

Other features of the Xzalt include a precision directional spinner system which is adjusted by the operator from the comfort of the cab; an enclosed chute with adjustable height to fit various trucks; and sensors equipped at the spinner, liquid pump and conveyor to eliminate guesswork of application rates or controller settings. The maintenance friendly-features of the Xzalt also include sealed bearings, a one-piece conveyor belt and 304 stainless steel components.

Optional features on the E2500 include a dual control hydraulic system to provide independent speed control to the spinner and conveyor, fenders, mud flaps and cab shields.

Hi-Way® T6034

The Hi-Way® T6034 Asphalt Transporter conveys more than 23 cubic yards of asphalt per minute, all from the convenience of the cab. The endgate is hydraulically controlled and provides a large 1,170 square inch opening. This unique “power door” ensures a smooth flow of materials, unlike typical live bottom machines that tend to push the materials through a gravity-held endgate and restrict flow. The conveyor speed is also controlled from within the cab allowing other workers to remain a safe distance away from hot asphalt and moving parts.

An optional internal metering gate delivers low rates of asphalt or aggregate for patch work and shoulder work. This internal gate easily latches for metering by engaging two pins. When disengaged, the internal gate fully opens along with the external rear endgate for unrestricted flow of material. The T6034 also features heavy-duty construction, a durable conveyor system and is easy to maintenance and service.

Hi-Way® Model P

Ideal for parking lots, schools, parks, alleys and intersections, the Hi-Way® Model P spreader features a 10.5 horsepower Briggs & Stratton engine and a heavy-duty 12-gauge body. In-cab controls including electric throttle with choke indicator light, conveyor start/stop switch and engine start/stop function, make spreading free flowing material efficient and easy, increasing your return on investment.

Designed for use with trucks rated at 8600 GVWR, the Model P comes equipped with four 2" (5.1 cm) nylon ratchet hold-down straps to safely secure the spreader in place on a flatbed truck or in a pickup box. The hopper body is primed and painted with two finish coats of Hi-Way yellow urethane paint and then oven cured for maximum durability, prolonging the life of your equipment and further increasing your return-on-investment.

Optional equipment on the Model P includes corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel construction (shown); 11 horsepower Honda engine; dual hydraulic drive for independent control of spinner and conveyor; two piece, flip-up screen; inverted "V" to reduce conveyor load; polyurethane spinner; swing-way spinner; extended spinner for flatbed and dump body mounting; and integral side extensions for increased payload.

Hi-Way® Super P

The Hi-Way® Super P deicing spreader is commonly found among the fleets of municipalities and townships, contractors, and lawn and landscape professionals. Mounted on a flatbed truck, the Super P offers increased maneuverability yet provides adequate capacity. For larger needs, the Super P HC offers increased capacity.

The Super P and the Super P HC come standard with a heavy-duty hopper with 12-gauge sides and ends, a conveyor system with heat-treated, self-cleaning pintle conveyor chain, a heavy-duty spinner assembly with six material baffles to provide control of the direction and width of spread patters and a hanging inverted "V" to minimize bridging and reduce pressure on the conveyor.

The Super P comes standard with a 10.5 HP Brigges & Stratton engine and the Super P-HC comes standard with a 11.0 HP Honda engine. Both engines offer various in-cab controls for increased efficiency and convenience.
